Double height New York loft style apartmentsThis Buchan Lee project was innovative in its marketing of uncompleted apartment ‘shells’ which were individually fitted out, resulting in 56 warehouse style double level apartments built in the “air-rights” over the Calvary Wakefield Hospital carpark.The building combines uses in addition to the residential component, with commercial and medical consulting rooms along the street frontage and a secure car park containing 174 car spaces shared equally by apartment residents, and hospital staff and clients.The podium level contains a central communal ‘square’ connecting the private courtyards and balconies of the individual apartments and providing a lush landscaped garden with a calming water feature.
